Bengal Govt Hikes Bus, Taxi Fares, Blames Centre for High Fuel Prices
This is the first time that the bus fares in the state is being increased after 2014. At present, a passenger has to pay Rs 6 for the first stage of four km in an ordinary bus, while travelling in a mini-bus cost Rs 7 for the first two km.
