The 2024 Force Gurkha comes packed with features like a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, powered ORVMs, a tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, rear camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system, and many more.
2024 Force Gurkha: Engine
Under the hood, both Gurkha versions boast a 2.6-litre Mercedes-sourced diesel engine, now tuned to deliver 140 bhp and 320Nm, a significant bump from its earlier 91 bhp. This power boost surpasses the Thar’s 132 bhp, 2.2-litre diesel engine.
2024 Force Gurkha: Rivals
In the battle of off-road giants, the Gurkha’s main rival is the Mahindra Thar, currently available only in the 3-door model. However, the Thar boasts options like a petrol engine, 2WD, and automatic gearbox, unlike the Gurkha, which sticks to diesel-manual and 4WD.
Priced at Rs 16.75 lakh, the Gurkha 3-door stands Rs 1.75 lakh above the Thar AX Optional 4WD, Mahindra’s entry-level diesel 4WD. As for the Gurkha 5-door, it currently stands without a direct competitor until the anticipated arrival of the Thar 5-door (likely named Thar Armada).
