Tata Punch EV has been spotted testing on Indian roads. The Tata Punch EV is anticipated to go on sale in Novembe and spy photos of the car show off some intriguing characteristics.
The electric vehicle will have a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, according to spy images. On the centre console of the Tata Punch EV test mule is a huge freestanding display. In addition to an all-electric drivetrain, the EV is anticipated to have a redesigned front end in comparison to the Punch’s ICE version. This will offer customers a modern as well as interactive experience.
Interior upgrades are probably going to include an electronic parking brake, an armrest for the front passenger, and a new rotary dial that doubles as a gear selector. The Punch EV may also get a redesigned steering wheel that has an illuminated Tata Motors emblem, just like the Tata Nexon EV.
Regarding the outside, a redesigned grille, new front and rear bumpers, new DRLs, and headlights are anticipated for the Tata Punch EV. The prototype was concealed and included a charging connection on the front, as per the spy photos. Like the ICE variant, this may be kept inside the fuel filler cap.
Tata Punch EV: Specs
Tata has not yet revealed the Punch EV’s precise technical specifications, although it is expected to come with identical engine choices to those of the Tiago. A 19.2 kWh battery that can go 250 km on a single charge powers the Tiago EV. It has an automated gearbox and an electric motor that produces 110 Nm of torque and 60 bhp.
A bigger 24 kWh battery option is available, which can be charged from 0 to 80 per cent in under one hour with a DC fast charger and is said to have a range of 315 km per charge. Along with an automatic gearbox, this version provides a maximum torque of 114 Nm and a peak output of 73 bhp.
Tata Punch EV: Expected Launch And Price
We can anticipate that the Punch EV will be on sale next month and that its ex-showroom pricing would range from Rs 13.5 lakh to Rs 17 lakh.
