The chic Volvo V40 and the V40 Cross Country was launched on December 15 along with a 3S facility in Kochi – Kerala Volvo. After winning global accolades for its Scandinavian design, the V40 now comes with the famous Thor’s Hammer headlamps. Thor’s hammer headlights cue distinct Volvo design and is currently in the 90s Cluster (Volvo XC90 & Volvo S90).
The V40 range comes standard with Pedestrian Airbag, which is an industry first.
Design
Volvo V40 and V40 Cross Country now have the Full-LED Thor’s Hammer headlamp cluster, a new waterfall design grille with the large Ironmark (like the XC90 & S90). The interiors come with three different leather trims for the V40 & 5 leather trims for the V40 Cross Country including dual-tone. There's also a new set of wheel design for both models.

The V40 & the V40 Cross Country come with sub 2-litre diesel engine with 6-Speed automatic FWD. Volvo was the first car brand to introduce DPF as standard across their ranges. DPF reduces particle emission (PM2.5 & PM10) by atleast 95%.
