Lamborghini is all set to launch their first ever SUV – the URUS. This is the first time in the history of automobiles that a supercar manufacturer will launch an SUV. While the luxury car manufacturers like Rolls-Royce and Bentley have come up with their own version of SUVs, it was highly unlikely that a supercar manufacturer would ever come up with a SUV. While Ferrari has backed out of the idea (although some rumors are still there), Lamborghini decided to go ahead and the result is URUS, which is going to make its world debut today at the Lamborghini factory in Italy.
Lamborghini’s YouTube page, where you can watch the live launch describes the launch as – “A journey through our history, our DNA, our future. A mesmerizing event held in our groundbreaking Lamborghini Factory 4.0: The place where dreams are made." It further adds, “We’ve changed the super sports car world. Now, we’re unveiling the first ever Super SUV."
Not much of the details are known about the product, but going by the tag that Lamborghini has given to the URUS – ‘Super SUV’, it has to be immensely fast as well as incredibly competent SUV. Check the live world launch above and stay glued for further details.
