His altruistic journey takes him through the bustling streets of Udupi, along routes such as Malpe, Krishnamatha, and Manipal National Highway 66, where he tirelessly seeks donations from the public.
Ravi’s annual transformation into a fearsome monster is in observance of a local festival known as Vitla Pindi, which coincides with Janmashtami in Udupi, Karnataka. This remarkable man’s commitment to his cause knows no bounds, as he carried out this noble tradition even when he was suffering from a cough and fever. Determined to push through his ailments, he resorted to drinking hot water to ward off sickness.
Reports indicate that Ravi Katpadi has faithfully continued this tradition for the past eight years. Remarkably, the funds he collects are not for personal gain but are destined for a noble purpose. The donations he gathers this time will be dedicated to assisting a child afflicted with a heart ailment in Kundapura, Karnataka. It’s awe-inspiring to learn that Ravi has accumulated over Rs 90 lakh in funds and has come to the aid of more than 65 children in need through his selfless endeavours.
