Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2005 film Chandramukhi became a successful trendsetter in the genre of horror comedy. According to the latest reports, there is an update on the superstar’s inclination towards doing a sequel of the film in the future, let us have a look.
Chandramukhi is one of the most famous horror comedies in the Indian film industry. This Rajinikanth starrer flick was a super hit in both Tamil and Telugu languages. As per reports, ahead of the release of the film’s sequel, which stars Kangana Ranaut, a report regarding Rajinikanth’s stance on a possible Chandramukhi 3, is going viral on the internet.
According to reports, the superstar has laid some conditions for his possible return to the franchise. The first condition is that the sequel Chandramukhi 2 has to be successful at the box office and with the audience. The second condition is that the story for Chandramukhi 3 should be good and be liked by the superstar. Although his involvement in the film is entirely uncertain, these reported conditions are making rounds on the internet.
Chandramukhi is a horror comedy which was released in 2005, and it was directed by P Vasu. The cast of the film included Rajinikanth and Jyothika, who played the role of Chandramukhi. The producers of the film are brothers Prabu and Ramkumar Ganesan, it was made under their company Sivaji Productions. Vidyasagar gave the music in the film. It was a remake of the 2004 Kannada film titled Apthamitra. Chandramukhi went on to become a big commercial success and won 5 Tamil Nadu State Awards.
The sequel to the 2005 film is set to release this year on September 28. It is being directed by P Vasu and the cast of the film includes Kangana Ranaut who is playing the titular role, Raghava Lawrence, Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Srushti Dange, Rao Ramesh, and Subiksha along with others. It is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, under Lyca Productions. The music in the film is being handled by MM Keeravani.
