Often we see videos of Mumbai locals emerging on social media sparking discussion on how crowded the public transport can get. Now, a similar video is doing rounds on social media. However, this time, it is not the Mumbai local train but Bengaluru metro. The 6-seconds-short video clip shows packed metro during peak hours. It also shows a long queue while many people wait to get inside.
Since being uploaded, the video has gone viral and sparked comparison. “Bangalore guys used to laugh on Mumbai locals till the time they got their own public transport,” wrote ‘X’ user while uploading the video. Here, have a look for yourself:

“And we don’t post this saying “Spirit of Bengaluru” or “Beauty of Bengaluru” which is the difference,” commented another person. “Can we stop calling this as “Spirit of Bengaluru” how we did with “Spirit of Mumbai” or “Spirit of Delhi”? On one side, organizations are calling everyone to WFO and on the other side, its always the T1 cities that is taking the load. In the end, common people suffers.”

The saddest part is, MUM-BLR people are busy making fun of each other for having poor quality of public transport. While both the cities (and many in India) have failed to elect a government which is focused on providing people facilities worth their taxes. Still lot safer than Mumbai locals , rare situation below one. https://t.co/Om70M9cJ4X— Vinayak (@vk_bhosale) October 26, 2023
