Over the past decade, pre-wedding shoots have become a popular trend, with couples capturing delightful moments before stepping into marital bliss. These photos, often taken in picturesque locations, have set the standard for modern romance. In recent times, a young farmer couple has added a unique twist to this trend by opting for a traditional rural setting instead of the conventional dreamy backdrop.

Abhilash, hailing from Hosamalangi village in Karnataka’s Kollegala, is engaged to Kritika from Channapatnam. The couple, on the verge of exchanging vows, chose a distinctive location for their pre-wedding shoot – their paddy field. Posed amidst the act of ploughing the field and riding on a bullock cart, their shoot carries a powerful message amidst the growing opposition against marrying farmers.

According to a Local 18 report, Abhilash and Kritika’s unconventional pre-wedding shoot challenges stereotypes and aims to convey that farming families are equal to any other. The rural backdrop, a departure from scenic locations and tourist spots, has garnered attention and applause for the couple’s choice of breaking the mould.

Dressed in traditional attire, the couple radiates joy in the images. Kritika chose a light green Banarasi saree with sky-blue borders, showcasing the elegance of the outfit. Abhilash complemented her in a white shirt and dhoti, completing the look with a green scarf. Their attire symbolizes a blend of tradition and celebration.

The accompanying video captures moments of the couple walking through the fields, creating rangoli outside their house, riding a bullock cart, and sharing intimate glances. One poignant moment captured beautifully is when Kritika serves her future husband ragi mudde with upsaaru in the field, adding a touch of authenticity to their love story.

The couple’s decision to celebrate their love amidst the very fields they work on not only adds a personal touch to their journey but also serves as an example of the resilience and strength of farming communities.
