When Ed Sheeran sang “Hona Nahi Mein Recover” with Diljit Dosanjh, he was undoubtedly referring to this unforgettable concert. The night was truly exceptional. Ed Sheeran, who arrived in India on March 12 for his + – = ÷ x Tour, lit up the stage with his electrifying performance at the Mahalaxmi Race Course grounds in South Mumbai. Over the course of two and a half hours, he treated the packed venue to a repertoire of over 30 songs. The collaboration we didn’t know we needed- Ed Sheeran and Diljit Dosanjh. The British singer-songwriter took fans by surprise when in the middle of his performance he welcomed popular Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh on the stage. Together, they performed the song Lover. The Mumbai venue erupted with thunderous applause from the hundreds of fans.

Another unexpected collaboration that left fans thrilled was with singer Armaan Malik. Ed Sheeran surprised fans and created magic once again as the duo performed the global hit 2step live for the audience. It was a memorable moment for everyone in attendance.

Ahead of the gig, Ed Sheeran was spotted grooving to the track Butta Bomma. He was seen with singer Armaan Malik as the two recreated Allu Arjun’s iconic hook step. Butta Bomma is sung by Armaan Malik and features in Allu Arjun’s film, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

Another unforgettable moment occurred when Ed Sheeran was seen striking the iconic open-arm signature of Shah Rukh Khan. He was invited to SRK’s Mannat in Mumbai.

Additionally, the singer took time to visit Torii, the restaurant owned by Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri Khan.

Ed Sheeran also took the time to explore Mumbai and engage with the local community. He also visited a school in Mumbai and delighted the children by singing Shape of You. “Visited a school in Mumbai this morning and swapped performances with the kids, so much fun. Great being back in India too!” he wrote in the caption.

Ed Sheeran first visited India in 2015, and then he returned to perform at a concert in 2017. His recent visit in 2024 marked his third time in the country.
