Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar Take Off Their Shoes as They Light the Diya at an Event; Video Goes Viral

Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar are making headlines for the right reasons today. The actor and director were seen attending a press conference on Monday evening with Janhvi Kapoor. As part of the event, the organisers requested Varun and Karan to light the diya and kicked off the special evening. As they prepared to light the diya, Varun excused himself to remove his shoes and show his respect to the ceremony. Karan followed his lead.

In a video shared on Instagram, Varun was seen wearing a black outfit with a pair of black formal shoes. Karan was also seen twinning in black but he styled his outfit with a pair of white shoes. Janhvi was seen wearing a white shirt and a pair of black pants. While Janhvi did not participate in the ceremony, Varun and Karan were seen lighting of the diya. Watch the video below:

Karan, Varun and Janhvi were in the spotlight recently after rumours claimed the trio is coming together for the third Dulhania film. A source told PeepingMoon.com that Janhvi will be the new ‘Dulhania’ of the franchise. Although it is unclear why Alia is not returning to the hit franchise, it is possible that her busy schedule in 2024 could be clashing with the Dulhania 3 plans.

Karan Johar, however, has refuted the claims. He said these are merely conjectures and untrue. Taking to his Instagram, he wrote, “Every morning I wake upto news that is not an official confirmation by Dharma productions… would request members of the media to please not conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning of one! We will give details when the time and plans are formulated and fructified! We are humbled by the excitement shown to our future films but would love to have accuracy instead of speculation… Respectfully, Karan Johar.”
