Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar is making headlines for his bad experience with the food delivery app Zomato. He has expressed his displeasure with a tweet.
Deepak shared his underwhelming experience with the food app on his official X handle. On Saturday, the CSK bowler claimed that it was a “new fraud” in the country since nothing was delivered to him, even though the Zomato app showed that his food was delivered. He tweeted, “New fraud in India. Ordered food from @zomato and the app shows delivered but didn’t receive anything. After calling customer service they also said that it’s been delivered and I am lying. M sure a lot of people must be facing the same issues. Tag @zomato and tell your story,” along with a screenshot of the app, which showed that his order was delivered.

The X account of the Zomato customer care, then issued an apology towards the cricketer, in the replies. They wrote, “Hi Deepak, We’re deeply concerned about your experience and apologise for any inconvenience. Rest assured, we take such issues seriously and are urgently looking into the matter to ensure a swift resolution.”

Deepak then replied by writing that this issue is experienced by many, which was the reason for his tweet. He stated further that the company does not take any action, and monetary compensation is not the solution for someone’s hunger.
Just wanted to highlight this as lot of people face this issue and no proper action is taken giving back the money of the order will not solve the issue. Hunger cannot be compensate with money .— Deepak chahar (@deepak_chahar9) February 24, 2024
Deepak Chahar made his debut in the T20I (Twenty20 International) in 2018 in a match against England in Bristol. In 2019, he became the first Indian male cricketer to get a hat-trick in a T20I match. Chahar has represented India in 7 ODIs and 24 T20 matches.
