Deccan has announced the release of 50,000 more seats under the scheme.
Chennai: Inspired by the good response to its last week's offer of One lakh tickets at Rs 999 each, Air Deccan has announced the release of 50,000 more seats under the scheme for travel between March 1 and April 10.
The bookings will be open from Wednesday and the fare, inclusive of taxes, will be applicable on select sectors on over 150 flights, the airline said in a release.
After the Rs 999 fare for one lakh tickets was announced last week, there was 'overwhelming response' from the public with Air Deccan website and all centre receiving countless hits and calls, it said.
"This is a relatively lean season for us and instead of carrying only 80 per cent loads, we want to carry 100 per cent loads at low fares. To celebrate the success of the our last Rs 999 offer, we are offering another 50,000 seats," Warwick Brady, its Chief Operating Officer, was quoted as saying.
"Air Deccan continues to revolutionalise air travel by making low cost air travel a reality for the common man. We will continue to offer lowest fares and will not be cowed down by the fares offered by full frill/high cost airlines," Brady said.
