The villagers are always left surprised to see the gesture of the bull which bows its head while worshipping the goddess. The temple is situated in the forest area and belongs to a charitable department.
Chinnaswamy, a priest at the temple, said, “The temple has cows being reared and taken care of. But, the bull also comes here and everyone is surprised because it regularly visits the temple and stays there for 2 to 3 hours every day.”
Sri Chellandi Amman is one of the most prominent avatars whom the devotees worship with utmost faith. The goddess is faithfully worshipped by a large number of devotees across the state. It is not the only temple of the goddess in the state. Tamil Nadu has more than 1,000 temples spread across the state. The idol of Sri Chellandi Amman is usually made of black stone.
