Hardik Pandya: nothing short of swagger personified on a cricket field.
The swanky Indian all-rounder put on an absolute show with the bat for the Gwalior crowds, bamboozling Bangladesh bowlers with his unorthodox yet lethal shot selection as India sealed a 7-wicket win over the visitors on Sunday.
Pandya showcased his class in his finishing abilities as he scored three consecutive boundaries in the 12th over to finish off the game in style. He started with a ridiculous no-look shot off Taskin Ahmed where he just ramped one away over the wicketkeeper’s head.
This was then followed by a powerful pull-shot where his bat flung out of his hand but still managed to get enough connection to see the full-toss being smacked away for a boundary towards the backwards-point region.
The T20 World Cup-winning all-rounder finished off the game with a powerful pull-shot over the mid-wicket boundary ropes to seal the win for India who went 1-0 up in the three-match affair.
Social media went berserk over the swashbuckling all-rounder’s excellence with the bat, praising Pandya for his sensational outing.

Even the likes of former cricketers such as Aakash Chopra and Dinesh Karthik were rendered speechless at the effortless performance of Pandya, lauding him for his match-finishing prowess.

On top of Pandya’s performance, Mayank Yadav bowled with rattling pace in a promising debut while mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy made an impressive comeback to set up India’s dominating seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in the series-opening T20.
A sell out crowd was in attendance as international cricket returned to Gwalior after 14 years. The stadium built in the outskirts of the city made its international debut.
