After being whitewashed in the T20I series against the Indian cricket team, Sri Lanka will now be aiming to come up with a spirited show in the ODIs. The opening ODI between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday, August 2.

The three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka will also mark the return of skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to the team. Both Kohli and Rohit had missed out on the previous assignment against Sri Lanka having announced their retirement from T20I cricket following the triumph at the World Cup.
