India will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. The first red-ball match is scheduled to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from Thursday (September 19), whereas Kanpur’s iconic Green Park will host the second match from September 27 onwards. The Rohit Sharma-led side, which sits at No. 1 position in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table, would like to get the better of Najmul Hossain Shanto & Co. in the upcoming two matches to boost its chances of qualifying for the WTC final for the third season in a row.
Despite India’s superb record in the Test matches played so far between the two teams, it won’t be an easy task for the hosts to get the better of Bangladesh this time around because the visitors will be high on confidence after securing a shocking 2-0 win over Pakistan in the two-match Test series.
