Virat Kohli’s fan following is unmeasurable. Wherever he goes, people stack up in numbers to watch the superstar play, irrespective of his current form. Even the ground staff remains in awe of the ace Indian batter, looking for opportunities to interact with him.
Something similar was on display on Friday when the coin toss for the second India vs Bangladesh Test in Kanpur was delayed due to a wet outfield. The overnight rain had left a certain area of the Green Park stadium dampened while the ground staff left no stone unturned to make the conditions playable.

The groundsmen were removing the covers when Virat Kohli walked past them with a bat in his hand on Friday morning. As Kohli reached closer to the pitch, a ground staff member rushed toward him and touched his feet. While the former Indian skipper gestured not to do it, the staffer was pushed back by one of his colleagues.

Kohli Eyes Magnificent Milestone
After scoring 6 and 17 runs in the series opener in Chennai last week, Kohli would like to come up with a big show in Kanpur. He will have a chance to create history and become the fastest batter in the world to score 27,000 runs in international cricket.
The 35-year-old cricketer has 26,965 runs to his name in 534 matches played so far. He needs 35 more runs in the Kanpur Test to cross the 27,000-run mark and become the fastest batter in the world to achieve the feat. Only three batters—Sachin Tendulkar (34,357), Kumar Sangakkara (28,016), and Ricky Ponting (27,483)—have crossed the 27,000-run mark in international cricket so far.
Kohli has 29 centuries to his name in Test cricket; if he manages to score a hundred in the second Test, then he will become only the third cricketer in the world after Tendulkar and Ponting to score at least 30 centuries each in both the Test and ODI formats of the game.
