The Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya was celebrated in all pomp and show as Indians from all walks of life gathered at the holy venue for the ceremony.
The Pran Pratishtha is a rite by which a temple consecrates a murti. Hymns and mantras are recited to welcome the deity as the temple resident. The event also marks the first time the murti’s eye is opened for the first time.
Former and active cricketers including the likes of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Anil Kumble were seen at the event.

However, the BCCI are yet to announce his replacement in the squad while they have options to take his spot at number four with the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Dhruv Jurel and KL Rahul among the candidates to take the role. From the India A side, batting duo, Sarfaraz Khan and Rajat Patidar have had good knocks behind them against the touring England Lions squad. Patidar was the more notable of the two with the batter having scored two centuries in the two games he has played so far.
The Test series will be a big Test as their newfound approach to the longest format of the sport, also known as Bazball will be put to the Test against a dominant Indian side that have shown to be ruthless under home conditions.
