In that match, South African bowling talent Kwena Maphaka scalped five wickets to help his side curb Zimbabwe at just 102. In the second half, Lhuan-dre Pretorious led a successful knock for the host nation by smashing a half-century. His knock enabled South Africa to pick up a victory by nine wickets. The hosts will now be looking to finish the Super Six stage undefeated by beating Sri Lanka next.
South Africa and Sri Lanka will play their final Super Six game at the Sahara Park Willowmoore Cricket Stadium on February 2. Sri Lanka also had a good group stage with back-to-back victories before losing their first match to Australia. They were unable to regain their momentum against the West Indies, conceding a defeat in their opening super six-game by three wickets. They will be eager to beat the hosts to remain in contention for making the final four at the marquee event.
