Virat Kohli & Gautam Gambhir In A Single Frame To Put An 'End To The Masala' – WATCH

The BCCI took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday (September 18) to share the teaser of a special interview between India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir and batting superstar Virat Kohli. The duo played together for Team India in multiple matches across formats. In addition to that, on quite a few occasions in the past, they got involved in a heated battle with each other, which made headlines. But in the teaser, Virat can be seen saying that the duo is putting an end to the masala.

In the 1:40 minute clip, Gambhir and Kohli can be seen watching the highlights of the 2011 ODI World Cup final first, and then Gambhir praised Kohli’s super show with the bat in the 2014-15 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

“I remember when you had that bumper series on Australia where you scored heaps and heaps of runs and that got you in touch zone. And for me, it was exactly the same when I played in Napier. And if I look back, can I bat for another two and a half days? I don’t think so. I could have ever done that again. And I have never been in that zone ever in my life after that. So, I can imagine how good that feeling is to be in that zone. And I’m sure you must have experienced this many more times as compared to what I have,” Gambhir said.

In the viral clip, Gambhir was also seen trolling Kohli after he asked how chat with the opposition players used to impact him during his playing days.

“When you’re batting and you have a bit of a chat with the opposition, did you ever feel like this might carry on to you going out of the zone and you potentially getting out, or did it put you in a more motivated space?” Kohli asked Gambhir, to which he replied, “You had more alterations than I have. I think you can answer the question better than I can.”
