The results of the Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering (GATE) 2024 will be released on March 16. The examination was conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru and seven IITs. Around 6.8 lakh candidates applied for the examination this year. The test was conducted on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. This national-level entrance exam is conducted to offer admission to postgraduate courses such as ME, MTech, and PhD in top colleges along with jobs in government-owned and other private companies. As the result of the recently held GATE is coming closer, let us take a look at the cut-offs of the last few years.

The GATE cut-offs depend on multiple factors. The number of total candidates who appeared, the availability of seats, the previous year’s trends and the difficulty level of the paper are some of the main factors. Based on these, the IISc releases the cut-off marks for different categories of candidates each year. The cutoff of GATE 2023 was the same as that of 2022 in branches like BT, EY and XL. The cutoff score of Computer Engineering was 675 in 2023 and 2022.
