The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has commenced the registration process for the Combined Competitive Exam (CCE 2024). Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for recruitment through the official website of the Assam Public Service Commission at apsc.nic.in. Candidates must note that the last date to submit the online application form is until February 6.
Under this recruitment drive, the Assam Public Service Commission aims to fill up a total of 235 vacancies in Assam police services, Assam civil services, and other departments of the APSC. It is important to note that the APSC CCE preliminary exam 2024 is tentatively scheduled to be held by the commission on March 17. However, the Assam CCE Main exam is expected to be conducted between June and July, this year. The examination dates will be announced in due course, the official notification read.
APSC CCE 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the above-mentioned posts must be an Indian citizen. Moreover, they can check the eligibility criteria set by the commission before applying for the APSC CCE 2024 exam.
Age Limit: Candidates seeking the post should be between the age bracket 21 to 38 years as of January 1, 2023. However, upper age limit relaxations are applicable for reserved category candidates.
Educational Qualification: To be eligible, candidates should also possess a degree from one of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures in India, or from other educational institutions/colleges established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed to be University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or have such qualifications as the govt may declare equivalent.
APSC CCE 2024: How to Apply
Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of APSC at apsc.nic.in
Step 2: Look for and click on ‘Application Forms (Apply)’ option available on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill out the application form by providing all the necessary information such as personal and academic information.
Step 4: Upload all the scanned documents in the mentioned format and pay the prescribed application fees.
Step 5: Check all the details thoroughly and hit submit
Step 6: Once done, download the submitted APSC application form and generate a hard copy for future reference.
Talking about the application fee required to apply for the exam, the commission has mentioned that candidates falling under the general category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 250 at the time of registration. However, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category candidates, including ex-servicemen of the respective categories, will be required to pay the application fee of Rs 150.
In addition, women candidates and those belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempt from paying the application fees.
