Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has rescheduled the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Prelims 2023 exam. The updated exam schedule is accessible on the official website, apsc.nic.in. According to the formal announcement, the APSC CCE preliminary exam for 2023 will now take place on March 18 rather than March 17.
The recruiting campaign intends to occupy 235 positions in the Assam Police Services, Assam Civil Services, and other APSC departments. The APSC CCE preliminary admit card 2023 will be available for download in due course from the official website, apsc.nic.in, to those who have registered for the exam. The exam will be administered in 32 districts across Assam.
The official notice issued stated, “This is for information to all concerned that the combined competitive examination, 2023 is rescheduled on March 18, 2024, instead of March 17, 2024, in cancellation of this office’s earlier notification No. 24PSC/E-11/2023-24 dated February 16, 2024.”
The Assam CEE 2024 application requirements further stipulate that candidates must hold a degree from another college or university established by a parliamentary act, or from one of the Indian universities established by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures. As of January 1, 2023, applicants for the CCE must be between the ages of 21 and 38. However, candidates in the reserved category are eligible for upper age limit relaxations.
The APSC CCE consists of three stages: preliminary exam, main exam, and interview round. There are two papers in the APSC CCE preliminary exam, each worth 200 marks. The Mains exam on the other hand consists of six papers and has a total score of 1500 marks. Those who pass the preliminary and main exams will go to the interview phase, which carries a total of 275 marks. It is anticipated that this year’s Assam CCE Main will take place around June or July. The official notification stated that the examination dates would be revealed in due course.
According to the commission, applicants who come under the general category must pay a Rs. 250 application fee at the time of registration. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe groups, as well as ex-servicemen from those categories, must pay a Rs 150 application fee.
Furthermore, female candidates, those living below the poverty line (BPL), and people with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) are not required to pay application fees.
