The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has released the admit cards for the Section Officer (SO) and Assistant Section Officer (ASO) examinations. Candidates who have registered for the examination can now access and download their hall tickets from the official website of CSIR -csir.res.in. To obtain CSIR SO & ASO Admit Card 2024, candidates must enter their registered email ID and date of birth at the login window on the official website.
The exam will be held from February 5 to February 20, 2024. The CSIR Combined Administrative Services Examination for SO and ASO will take place in two stages. The first stage is a computer-based test on February 5th, including Paper 1 from 10 AM to 12 PM and Paper 2 from 3 PM to 5:30 PM. As per the official notice, candidates are expected to report at 8:30 AM for Paper 1 and 1:30 PM for Paper 2.
“Mock Test Link will be communicated to the candidates through their registered Email ID. Candidates are advised to check their registered email ID (including Junk/Spam folders) for examination-related information,” read the official notice.
CSIR SO, ASO Admit Card 2024: Steps to download
Step 1: Visit the official website – csir.res.in
Step 2: Click on the News and Events option present on the homepage and select the link that read, “Link for downloading of admit card and mock test for CASE-2023 from January 26 (10:00 AM)”
Step 3: Fill in your registered email ID and date of birth.
Step 4: The admit card will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Download and keep the printout of the admit card for future reference.
CSIR SO, ASO Admit Card 2024: Selection Process
Objective and Descriptive Paper: In this stage, candidates’ language and general studies skills will be tested through three papers. The exam authority will determine whether these exams will be held on the same date or different dates.
For SO Position (Interview) — This stage evaluates the candidate’s personality, behaviour, and suitability for the role. It holds a total of 100 marks.
For ASO Position (Computer Proficiency Test) — This test aims to evaluate the candidate’s computer application skills and is worth 100 marks.
