The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2023 on April 16. Many aspirants have cracked this prestigious exam and Rajeev Aggarwal from Agra is the new name in the list. Rajeev cleared the UPSC in his 5th attempt, securing AIR 103. He initially cleared the exam for the Naib Tehsildar position in the first attempt. The Agra candidate has showcased his excellent academic performance in the previous attempts, as well. He had obtained AIR 269 in his fourth attempt and was appointed to the Indian Revenue Service department. For this posting, he is currently undergoing training at the National Direct Tax Academy, Nagpur. Before this, he also worked as an officer in the State Bank of India and Naib Tehsildar in Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh.
Rajeev completed his elementary education at the KM Public School, Kiraoli, Uttar Pradesh. After completing school, he obtained a Bachelor of Science Honors (Honors) and a Master of Science (Honors) degree as well. He secured these degrees from the Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra. After completing his schooling and college education, he prepared for the UPSC while working as a Naib Tehsildar. In an interview with a portal, he credits proper time management and regular studies as the reason for his success.
Rajeev’s father is a footwear shop owner in Kiraoli. His wife Aditi Singh is currently working as an assistant professor in the mathematics department at Raja Balwant Singh, College, Agra. Meanwhile, his mother-in-law Mamta Singh works as a professor at the Hindi Department of Agra College. Rajeev ended the interview by saying that he credits his success to God, his parents, wife, in-laws, teachers, and friends.
Apart from Rajeev, the other toppers are Aditya Srivastava, who has topped the exam, followed by Animesh Pradhan, who has secured the All-Indian Rank 2. Donuru Ananya Reddy has secured rank 3. A total of 1016 have been recommended for appointment and amongst these, 347 are from the general category. While 115 are from the Economically Weaker Section, 303 are from Other Backward Classes, 165 are from Scheduled Caste and 86 are from Scheduled Tribe categories.
