Everyone dreams of studying at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). But few people can fulfil their dream of studying here. If you want to get a Master’s degree from IIT, you have to pass the GATE exam. Without this, it is difficult to study for a Master’s degree here. But there is no need to worry. According to reports, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar and the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, have launched a double-degree Master’s program that will allow students to simultaneously earn two different postgraduate degrees from either institution.

These courses will be taught through a dual-degree program:

1. Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

2. Bio-Nanomaterial Science and Engineering

3. Environmental Engineering and Management,

4. Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System (GIS)

5. Geotechnical and Earth Resources Engineering,

6. Water Engineering and Management

7. Sustainable Energy Transition

According to an IIT Gandhinagar spokesperson, the students will spend their first and fourth semesters at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and their second and third semesters at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, India. They will have the opportunity to learn from specialist faculty and academicians of both institutes, explore interdisciplinary research domains, and access world-class laboratories and infrastructure.

He further said that both institutes will provide on-campus accommodation and assist students with e-visa processing to ensure a smooth transition between campuses.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates applying for this course must have a graduate (4-year) degree from any recognised institute with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 or equivalent. Along with this, they must have AIT-EET: 6 or IELTS: 6 under English proficiency.

How to Apply:

The application process has now started for the first admission in August 2024. Interested candidates can submit their applications until July 15, 2024.
