The Ministry of Education has announced a significant and progressive move, under which IIT Jodhpur will provide B.Tech first-year courses in both Hindi and English beginning this academic year. The goal of this dual-language method is to improve students’ understanding and performance by allowing them to learn in the language in which they feel most at ease.
Two divisions will be created under the new project, according to language preference. The same teacher will lecture both classes despite their separation, guaranteeing that the consistency and quality of education remain uncompromised.
The Ministry of Education in a post on its official “X” handle said, “The Ministry of Education is pleased to share that @iitjodhpur will now offer B. Tech 1st year courses in both Hindi and English, beginning this academic year! This initiative is designed to ensure all students can learn effectively in the language they are most comfortable with. Both sections will be taught by the same instructor, maintaining consistency and quality. This is a significant step towards fostering a more inclusive and supportive educational environment at IIT Jodhpur. ”

The goal of this action is to promote a more welcoming and encouraging learning environment. IIT Jodhpur is demonstrating its commitment to accommodating students from a variety of linguistic backgrounds by providing courses in both Hindi and English. This is especially important for students who might struggle to understand intricate technical ideas in a language that they are less familiar with.
With the recent approval of the request by the Ministry of Education, engineering aspirants who wish to pursue a B.Tech at IIT Jodhpur can now do so in Hindi. Admission to IIT Jodhpur’s B.Tech programme will be determined on the results of the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024). During the admissions process, students have the option of selecting their preferred language of instruction. Based on their preferred language, IIT Jodhpur will divide the student populace into two divisions prior to the start of the academic year.
