The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has rescheduled the Class 10 exams for the soft zone, originally planned for today March 7, 2024. The latest updates indicate that the postponed exams will now be held on April 4. This decision comes as a result of unavoidable circumstances.
According to the official date sheet, the board was supposed to commence the Class 10 exams on March 7 with vocational subjects such as agriculture, apparel, makeup, home furnishing, automotive, beauty and wellness, health care, IT and ITES, physical education and sports, plumbing, retail, security, telecommunication, tourism and hospitality, and electronics and hardware.
“It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that in view of unavoidable circumstances the examination of vocational subjects of secondary school examination (Class 10th) session annual (regular) 2024 of soft zone areas of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, which was scheduled to be held on 07-03-2024 (Thursday), has been postponed and shall be held on 04-04-2024 (Thursday),” an official notice released by the board read.
While announcing the JKBOSE 2024 exam date change, the board stated that the remaining subjects would take place following the previously issued date sheet.
This year, the JKBOSE Class 10 board exams will be held from Monday, March 11, 2024, to April 4, 2024. The board exam will start with the English paper on the first day.

JKBOSE Class 10 Exam Guidelines
–– Candidates must arrive at the examination centre at least one hour before the start time of the JKBOSE Board Exam 2024.
–– Candidates must bring their respective admit cards, school identity cards, and photo IDs to the examination centre.
–– Students can only bring basic stationery items like blue pens, black pens, pencils, and so on.
–– Electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smart watches, or electronic watches are prohibited within the exam hall.
