The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released the application dates for the admissions of Class 10 (matric) and Class 12 (senior secondary) students under the open school system for the academic year 2024-25. The application window is open and aspiring students have until April 30 to complete their registration process.
Students from government, non-government, and other recognised schools are eligible to apply by April 30, with the board offering the option of online registration along with a late fee until August 31. Students are encouraged to carefully read the notification and understand the guidelines before applying. Additionally, they should prepare their documents according to the guidelines to avoid any potential issues during the application process.
According to the board, the new accreditation fee stands at Rs 3,300 for matric, with a renewal fee of Rs 1,650. For senior secondary students, the accreditation fee is Rs 4,400 per group, with a corresponding renewal fee of Rs 1,650 per group.
Following the online accreditation application through study centres, applicants are instructed to send the hard copy of the form to the Deputy Secretary (Academic) at the Punjab School Education Board, located in SAS Nagar (Mohali). Accreditation fees are waived for government and board-ideal schools. The accreditation form can be accessed online through the open school portal using the schools’ login IDs.
PSEB Class 10, 12 Applications: How to Apply
Step 1: Visit the official website of PSEB at pseb.ac.in
Step 2: On the homepage, find and click on Open School Admissions.
Step 3: A new window will be displayed on your screen.
Step 4: Previously registered candidates may proceed by logging in using their application number and password, or they may choose from the following links: Matric Open School registration or Sr. Sec Open School registration.
Step 5: Click on the “Submit” button located below the instruction PDF on the following page to access the online registration page.
Step 6: Fill in all the required information and then submit the form.
Step 7: Download and take a printout for further use.
For the academic year 2023-24, the annual exams for Class 10, which include Open School, Compartment/Reappear, Additional Visa, and Career assessments, are set to occur from February 13 to March 6, between 11:00 AM and 2:15 PM. Likewise, for Class 12, including Open School students, the exams will run from February 13 to March 30, also from 11:00 AM to 2:15 PM.
Meanwhile, Class5 exams are scheduled to commence on March 7 and conclude on March 14, while the Class 8 exams will begin on March 7 and conclude on March 27.
