The Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducts the recruitment of sub-inspector and constable exams every year in three phases — Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and document verification. The exam is held for 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes). For every incorrect answer, one-third of the total marks in each question will be deducted. The remuneration for RPF Constables is set at Rs 21,700 while the pay scale for RPF Sub-Inspectors (SI) is Rs 35,400.
In January, the RRB issued a notification about the hiring process for Sub-Inspectors (Exe.) and Constables (Exe.) within the RPF and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF).
