The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the prelims exam result of the Combined Geo-Scientist exam 2024. The candidates who appeared for the test can check their results at upsc.gov.in. Those who have cleared the prelims exam will next have to appear for the main exam, scheduled to be conducted on June 22 and 23.
Furthermore, UPSC has notified that the final marks and cut‐off marks of the preliminary examination will be uploaded on the commission’s website after the entire process of the examination is over, that is, after the declaration of the final result of the Combined Geo‐Scientist Examination, 2024.
As per the official press release, “The candidates declared qualified are required to appear at the Combined Geo‐Scientist (Main) Examination, 2024 to be held on 22nd & 23rd June, 2024. The qualified candidates are further advised to refer to the Rules of the Combined Geo‐Scientist Examination, 2024 issued by the Ministry of Mines in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I — Section 1 on 20th September, 2023 and the Examination Notice No.02/2023‐GEOL. dated 20.09.2023 issued by the Commission, which is available on its Website.”
UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Prelims Result 2024: How to Check?
Step 1: Go to the official website, upsconline.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage look for the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination Result, 2024 link
Step 3: Click on the PDF link
Step 4: The result notification along with the roll numbers of the qualified candidates will appear on the screen
Step 5: Candidates can take a hard copy print out of the PDF file for future reference.
The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Preliminary Examination was conducted in two shifts on February 18. The morning session was held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by the afternoon session from 2 pm to 4 pm. The morning session exam was held for Paper-I (Code No.1) General Studies (common for all streams); and the afternoon session for Paper-II [Code No.2] stream-specific subject papers such as Geologist and Scientist ‘B’ (Hydrogeology): Geology / Hydrogeology, Geophysicist & Scientist ‘B’ (Geophysics): Geophysics, and Chemist & Scientist ‘B’ (Chemical): Chemistry.
