The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has revised the answer key of the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test or UP PET 2023. The revised answer key is now available on the official website at upsssc.gov.in.
The exam was conducted across the state in two shifts on October 28 and 29 in two shifts — 10 am to noon and 3 pm to 5 pm. More than 20 lakh candidates had applied for it, but more than 7 lakh candidates were absent from the examination. The examination was conducted in more than 1,000 centres in a total of 35 districts.
The provisional answer key was released on November 6. Candidates dissatisfied with the initial answer key were given an opportunity to raise objections to PET questions until November 15. Based on the objections raised, the revised answer key has been released and the results are expected to be declared soon.

The UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. It’s important to note that negative marking is applicable in the examination. The syllabus covers topics from General Science, Social Science, Geography, the Indian Constitution, the Indian Economy, and the History of India.
To join the Group C recruitment in UP, qualifying the UP PET is necessary. Those who clear the prelims exam will next be eligible to appear for the main examination of recruitment. Those who clear both the prelims and main exam will have to appear for the interview process and further document verification following which the final selection of candidates will be done.
