The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will soon announce the WB higher secondary or Class 12 result for 2024. Candidates who have appeared for the exams this year can check their results through the official websites of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education at wbchse.wb.gov.in and wbresults.nic.in.

WEST BENGAL 12TH RESULT 2024: PASS PERCENTAGE OVER THE YEARS
In 2023, the Class 12 Board exam results were announced on May 24, and the overall pass percentage was 89.25 per cent. In addition, a total of 8,24,891 candidates appeared for the Class 12 board exam, out of which 7,37,807 candidates passed the examination.
Talking about the year 2022, a total of 7.5 lakh students enrolled for the WB 12th or Uccha Madhyamik exams. The overall pass percentage in WBCHSE Class 12 was 88.44 per cent, out of which a total of 86.9 per cent of girls cleared the West Bengal Class 12 board examination, whereas the passing percentage of boys was 90.19 per cent. This was a huge drop from 2021, when 97 percent of students cleared the exam. It is to be noted that the exams were not held in that year, and an alternative assessment module was used to announce the result.
The overall pass percentage of Class 12 stood at 97.69 per cent in 2021. Girls were ahead of boys, as they secured 97.70 per cent, while the pass percentage of boys was 97.69 per cent.
For the year 2020, the overall pass percentage in WBCHSE Class 12 was 90.13, out of which a total of 90 per cent of girls cleared the West Bengal Class 12 board examination, whereas the passing percentage of boys was 90.44 per cent.
In 2019, the overall pass percentage was 86.92. The pass percentage of girl students was 85.3 per cent, and that of boys was 87.44 per cent.
The Class 12 board examination conducted by WBCHSE took place from February 16 to February 29 and approximately 7.8 lakh students appeared for the exam. Students must achieve a minimum threshold of marks in each subject to pass the West Bengal Higher Secondary Exam this year.
