United will, however, will miss Dimitar Berbatov who skipped the team's Premier League game against Aston Villa as well.
Villareal and Manchester United are tied at the top of their group and a draw will send both the teams through to the knockout stage.
In the other Group E match, Celtic take on Aalborg.
Meanwhile, in Group G Arsenal have to deal with some issues.
