Chennaiyin FC announced the signings of former Manchester United midfielder Eric Djemba Djemba and former PSG forward Jean Maurice Edu on Sunday. Djemba last played in the Scottish Premiership for St. Mirren earlier this year before being released by the club.
The 33-year-old Cameroon player has played for his national team in 24 appearances, including the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the victorious 2002 African Cup of Nations campaign.
Meanwhile, Edu is a former Paris Saint-Germain player with stints at Lens and Le Mans in the French top tier.
A Chennaiyin FC release quoted player-manager Marco Materazzi saying, "Both are top players and will add plenty of quality and experience to our team. We are also sad that Tillman and Eduardo are leaving and wish them well for the future."
Djemba and Edu are expected to join the squad later this week following their visa formalities.
