Everton coming up with an improved deal for McCarthy

Everton are believed to be coming up with an improved bid in order to avail the services of Wigan Athletic midfielder James McCarthy.

The DailyStar reports the Toffees are all set to launch their third bid worth £15 million for the Republic of Ireland international after their first two bids fell out of contention.

Wigan, however have made clear that they have no plans of letting go the 22-year-old below the price tag of £20million but Everton manager Roberto Martinez remains quite upbeat about his chances.

McCarthy had a fabulous last season at the DW Stadium when his side won the F.A Cup.
