London: Dimitar Berbatov has ended his four-year spell at Manchester United by joining fellow Premier League team Fulham.
The former Bulgaria striker signed a two-year deal Friday to be reunited with Martin Jol, who was the striker's coach when both were at Tottenham in 2006 and '07. The transfer fee was undisclosed, with British media saying Berbatov will cost Fulham 4 million pounds ($6.35 million).
Berbatov, who joined United for a club-record fee of around 30 million pounds in 2008, was the Premier League's top scorer in the 2010-11 season but lost his place in the team last campaign. He scored 56 goals in 149 appearances for United.
The 31-year-old Berbatov says "as soon as I was aware of Fulham's interest my decision to join was an easy one to make."
