New Delhi: Chennaiyin FC defender Gouramangi Singh has stressed that previous win against Kerala Blasters FC was vital in keeping the team's early-season winning momentum going and he is hopeful that his franchise can continue its victory march against the Delhi Dynamos here on Saturday.
Chennai are visiting Delhi for Match 12 of the inaugural season of Indian Super League (ISL), which will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the national capital, and the centre-back is hoping they can get all the three points away from home as well.
"It has been a good start for us in the ISL and we are looking to keep the momentum going. Delhi Dynamos are an excellent side and we have to respect each and every team in the tournament," Gouramangi told IBNLive Sports.
"I am hoping we can carry on the momentum and come out of the match with all three points, but it won't be easy. Hopefully we can play well," he added.
At 6 feet 1, Gouramangi, who hails from Awang Sekmai, a town 17 km from Imphal, is one of India's tallest players and is feared by the opponents for his accurate headers. He will be a key figure in the defence of Chennaiyin FC's away fixture on Saturday.
