Nyon: Chelsea have been pitted against Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns with Real Madrid in their quest to reach the last four.
Arsenal's nemesis Barcelona are in for a double-header against Shakhtar Donetsk, while defending champions Inter will play Bundesliga outfit Schalke.
The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday, with three teams from the Premier League still involved in the European competition.
Three of four English teams that were involved in initial stages of the tournament finished at the top of their respective groups, while Arsenal finished second - behind Shakhtar Donetsk in Group H.
The Gunners fell prey to Barcelona in the round of 16, while Manchester United managed to edge past Marseille in a nervy second leg after the first had ended in a goalless draw at the Stade Velodrome.
Chelsea were pitted against relatively easy opponents in the pre-quarter-final stage, as Copenhagen posed no significant threat to the aspirations of Carlo Ancelotti and his charges.
But it was Tottenham Hotspur who managed to grab the headlines by pulling off a memorable victory at the San Siro that eventually paved the way for a spot in the last eight of the tournament.
