New Delhi: Manchester United have Friday confirmed they have signed Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha. The England international will join the Red Devils in July, the club said in a statement.
Zaha was as pleased as punch after both clubs reached an agreement: "I am delighted to be joining Manchester United, however my focus for the next five months will be solely at Crystal Palace."
Palace co-chairman Steve Parish said: "This is a great deal for the club and the player. We thank Wilf for all he has done."
United manager Alex Ferguson said, "We are signing a player of potential. We always feel we develop players well."
Zaha will undergo a medical examination late on Friday. The British media have reported he will cost the Manchester club 15 million pounds ($23.6 million).
Zaha has been with Palace since the age of 12 and is the latest home-grown talent, following in the footsteps of Chelsea's Victor Moses and Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne.
