Manchester United have reportedly lined up three transfer deals after the signing of Manuel Ugarte. Earlier this summer, Manchester United had expressed their interest in signing Ugarte on a permanent deal. But a steep price tag led to the Erik ten Hag-coached side dropping out of the race for the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder. It has now been reported that the Premier League giants have already reached a deal with the Ligue 1 giants for the Uruguayan. To fund the blockbuster move, the club is now focused on three key exits. They will be looking to get rid of Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay and Hannibal Mejbri this season.
Manchester United are close to sanctioning the sale of Scott McTominay this summer. They are reportedly in talks with Napoli over the player’s move. The English side is looking for a £25 million deal for the midfielder. The funds will likely go a long way in improving the financial situation at the club, also adding a much-needed cash injection to help fund Manuel Ugarte’s transfer fee.
Another major exit that the club is looking to complete is for Jadon Sancho. The Englishman has once again been excluded from Erik ten Hag’s plans this season. While he did travel with the team for their weekend fixture against Brighton, Sancho did not feature in the game. As for Hannibal Mejbri, the completed a move to Burnley.
Transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that Manuel Ugarte has been undergoing a medical examination at Old Trafford. Discussing the reported contract agreement, Romano posted, “Documents being exchanged today between PSG and Man United. Contract until June 2029, €50m fee and €10m add-ons. Sell-on clause up to 10%. Ugarte, landed last night as planned.”

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will likely be quite pleased with the recruitment this summer. The transfer saga at Old Trafford kickstarted with the arrival of Bologna star Joshua Zirkee. Soon, Lille wonderkind Leny Yoro also joined the Red Devils before Matthijs de Ligt arrived along with Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. Having signed three defenders already, Erik ten Hag turned his attention to bringing Manuel Ugarte to the club.
