New Delhi: The new Delhi Dynamos manager cum player on Wednesday said that the current Brazil captain and Barcelona attacker Neymar stands right alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo who are at the moment considered best in the world. The former Brazil legend went on to say he will prefer Neymar any day over the Messis and Ronaldos.
"Messi and Ronaldo are both great players without any doubt but for me Neymar is better. He is going to be the very best in the coming years because he is a complete player," Roberto Carlos said at an Indian Super League event here, where he was unveiled as Delhi's marquee player-cum-manager.
"The thing is Messi and Ronaldo are getting better day after day but the young Neymar is trying to reach their level and it's just a matter of time when he surpasses them. Although he agreed that Messi is right now the better player among the trio".
"At the moment Messi is slightly better than Ronaldo and is the best player in the world."
Carlos also remebered his playing time at Real Madrid and said that those eleven years were the most beautiful years of his football career.
"Every game I have played with them was with the same motivation. The coaches Fabio Capello and Vicente del Bosque helped me immensely and supported me in whatever I did on the field", he added.
The 41-year-old then jokingly said that he has been surprised by Delhi's traffic.
"The traffic in the city has made me speechless. From everywhere there are cars coming and it's quite surprising. I will never try to drive in Delhi - it's just not possible to drive in Delhi," he said before bursting into laughter.
