New Delhi: The Kaka and Manchester City saga rumbles on, as AC Milan announce that they are considering an offer for the player, whose father has reportedly flown to Manchester on Thursday night.
AC Milan have announced that they are "considering" an offer for their Brazilian superstar Kaka.
The player has been the subject of a further bid from Manchester City, who had previously been reported as offering £100 million for the forward. Sky Italia are reporting this bid as being in the region of £107 million.
A statement on Milan's television channel confirmed that the situation was ongoing, reading:
"We are considering Kaka's offer, Manchester City have sent us their proposal," said Milan Channel director Mauro Suma.
"Considering means we have not made a decision or accepted anything. We are not talking about a deal that's already been sealed. There are still hours and days to go."
Mere minutes ago Diogo, a confidant and occasional representative of Kaka, revealed that the Brazilian was edging closer to a move.
"Milan have given the OK, so now talks between Manchester City and the player can begin," he told the Associated Press.
"In the next few hours Kaka's father will depart for England and then we'll see what happens."
