A fresh new season of the F1 is right around the corner and the excitement is palpable as the teams have gone public with brand new variants of their race machines and the pre-season testing has begun.

Ferrari shared a video of their pre-season test run on social media handle X, formerly Twitter, as fans bellowed out their lofty expectation for the prancing horse ahead of the curtain-raiser.

“F1 2024 is GO!” Ferrari’s post read.

The Italian manufacturer will have Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz behind the wheel yet again this season as it will be the latter’s last season with Ferrari after the traditional racing powerhouse caused a stir ahead of the season with their announcement of roping in seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton for the 2025 season.

Ferrari, the team which has delivered the manufacturer’s title a whopping 16 times, in addition to 15 drivers championships, had a sub-par outing last time around and will look to make amends with their new machine.

The Prancing Horse, who had one win in the whole of their previous campaign thanks to Sainz’s winning run at the Singapore Grand Prix, finished third in the table last time out, behind champions Red Bull and second-placed Mercedes.

Red Bull dominated the F1 calendar last year as they stormed to the chequered flag first on 21 occasions as defending three-time champion Max Verstappen claimed the top podium spot a record 19 times, while teammate Sergio Perez bagged the numero uno spot twice.

Mercedes had a woeful start to their campaign last season, but managed to rack up points steadily enough to finish second thanks to the efforts of Hamilton and compatriot George Russell, who will yet again represent the Silver Arrows this season.

McLaren finished fourth in the constructor’s table followed by Aston Martin, Alpine, Williams, Alpha Tauri, Alfa Romeo and Haas.
