How to Accept Money on Square Cash
This wikiHow teaches you how to accept money on the Square Cash app for Android and iPhone. The Cash app allows you to send and request money from other users using their unique #Cashtag username. When you receive your first Cash app payment, you will be asked to link your bank account or debit card. You can deposit your Cash app funds using the Cash Out features.

Requesting a Payment

Open the Cash app. The Square Cash app has a green icon with a white "$" sign. The first time you open the Cash app, you will need to sign up or sign in.

Type a dollar amount. Use the number pad to type a dollar amount. Tap . to add a cent amount to the end of your dollar amount.

Tap Request. It's at the bottom of the screen on the right side.

Type a recipient on the "To" line. You can use the recipient's contact name, #Cashtag username, or their mobile phone number. You can also allow the Cash app to access your contacts so you can choose a recipient from your contacts.

Type a note. Use the "For:" line to type a note for the payment. For example: "Need money for gas!", or "Money for dinner".

Tap Request. It's the button in the upper-right corner. Your payment request will be to your recipient's email or mobile phone via text message.

Cashing Out Your Balance

Accept any pending payments. When someone sends you money for the first time using the Cash app, the payment may be pending, awaiting your approval. To accept a pending payment: Tap the notification icon in the top-right (small circle with the number of unread notifications). Tap Accept next to a pending payment. Tap Confirm. Tap Done.

Open the Cash app. The Square Cash app has a green icon with a white "$" sign. The first time you open the Cash app, you will need to sign up or sign in.

Tap the dollar amount. It's the small number at the top of the app in the middle. This opens an account balance screen.

Tap Cash Out. It's at the bottom of the screen on the left.

Tap Standard or Instant. Standard takes a few days to transfer to your account. Instant sends the funds immediately but costs a small fee.

Tap your bank. The first time you transfer money to your bank, you will need to link your bank account. Tap your bank from the lists provided. If you don't see your bank, tap "Other".

Sign into your bank. Use the same credentials you use to sign into your bank online to link your account. You may also need to answer some security questions your previously set up with your bank account.
