Contacting Dr. Oz on Social Media
Send Dr. Oz a tweet. Dr. Oz has a Twitter account under the handle "@DrOz." Tweet him any health questions you have, comments about his show, or replies to his own tweets. Sign into Twitter or make an account and either tag him in your own tweet or click the reply button in the lower lefthand corner of his tweet. Leave a comment on Dr. Oz's Facebook post. On Facebook, Dr. Oz mostly posts news about The Dr. Oz Show and everyday health advice. Visit the "Do You Need Dr. Oz's Help?" page on the Dr. Oz website. Dr. Oz welcomes everyone to submit their story for a chance to be featured on the show.
Enter all of your contact information in the required boxes. Fill out the contact information boxes on the submission page. Include your full name, email address, phone number, mailing address, age, and ethnicity. If you'd prefer not to share your ethnicity, you can choose "Rather not say." Check the information you supplied several times to make sure Dr. Oz can contact you.
Share your story in the "Response" box. Include any relevant information about your perspective and why your story belongs on the show in about 500-1000 words. Once you've finished writing, check your response several times to make sure you didn't leave out relevant information. Watch a few episodes of The Dr. Oz Show first to familiarize yourself with what kinds of stories the show features. You might, for example, tell your story about recovering from eating disorders and the unique perspective you bring to body positivity.
Upload a relevant photo for your story. Dr. Oz requires all submissions to include a photo. Scroll down to "Upload Your Photo," click on "File," and select either a recent photo or a photo that best represents your story. If you're submitting a story about fighting heart disease, for example, you could include a photo from treatment or recovery.
Submit your story and wait for a response. Once you're satisfied with your response, click on "Submit" and check your email for a response in the coming months.
