Obtain 40 Tortimer medals. Wetsuits cannot be purchased with bells. You gain medals by completing island tours.Tortimer.jpeg To get the island, you need to have expanded your house at least once. Each island trip costs 1,000 bells. Some wetsuits can only be bought in Club Tortimer, which costs 50 medals to join. There are nine different types of wetsuit. The black and green wetsuits are the most common. The number of medals you get on tours depends on how well you do on the tours. For some multiplayer tours, you get a bonus on your work.
Purchase a wetsuit from Grams who will be sitting on a stool in Tortimer Island. Wetsuit.jpeg To purchase a wetsuit, stand in front of it and press the A button on your 3DS.
Put the wetsuit on. Find it in your inventory and tap on it.Wetsuit on.jpeg To open your inventory, press the green tab on the top left corner of the touch screen or press X.
Swim in the ocean. Walk to the ocean's edge and press the A button. Keep tapping the A button to swim. You can also jump off the dock or cliff into the water with your wetsuit by pressing A.Swim.jpeg Make sure you aren't holding a fishing rod or instead of going in the water, you will just cast your rod out. Any other tools you have equipped will be put away before going into the sea. Use the circle pad to turn. There are boundaries so you have limited space to swim. You cannot dive under them.
Try diving. While in the water, press the Y button and continue pressing A to swim underwater.Dive.jpeg Swimming underwater has a time limit of eight seconds, and your character will come back up to the surface automatically.
Catch sea creature in the water by diving underwater whenever you see a shadow and catching up with it.Octopus.jpeg Catching and showing off sea creatures will scare away any other fish or sea creatures nearby. To catch a sea creature, you must be reach its shadow underwater. It is recommended that you dive underwater only when you near the shadow, as you can only stay underwater for limited time. You can donate sea creatures to your town museum or display them in your house. You can only donate one of each sea creature to the museum. Every time you catch a new sea create, it will be added to your encyclopedia. You can earn a badge if you have a certain number of sea creatures in your encyclopedia.
