Nayanthara is one of the highest-paid actresses in the South film industry. She is the first choice of the leading producers and directors. She recently made her debut in Bollywood with the blockbuster movie Jawan. It starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. It was directed by the filmmaker Atlee. Recently, Kamal Haasan and filmmaker Mani Ratnam have also announced their collaboration for their next, tentatively called KH234 film. The leading women in this movie also became a hot topic in the entertainment industry. It is believed that the makers are trying to approach Nayanthara as the lead heroine for this movie. Now, as per recent reports, it is reported that the actress has demanded Rs 12 crore for her role in the film. This is Rs 2 crore higher than her remuneration in Jawan. There has been no confirmation by the makers yet regarding this.
The collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam is a highly-anticipated one. Earlier, there have been several reports on the film’s leading actress. There were unconfirmed reports that Mani Ratnam was considering Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha Krishnan for the lead role. Nayanthara is the latest name, which has to be added to this list. The lead actress’ name has not been announced by the makers yet.
Tamil cinema never witnessed Nayanthara in the world of Mani Ratnam. Interestingly, it could have happened years earlier, as Mani Ratnam’s top pick to play Vikram’s sister in the film Raavanan was Nayanthara. The role was ultimately played by Priyamani. If the negotiations go accordingly, then it will be the first time that Kamal Haasan and Nayanthara will be seen together on the big screens.
Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R Mahendran and Siva Ananthi are co-producing KH234 under the banner of Raaj Kamal International Films and Madras Talkies. Udhayanidhi Stalin is presenting the film on behalf of Red Giant Films. AR Rahman will compose the music for the movie.
