Eleven employees of BHEL, Tiruchy, have bagged three ‘Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskars’ for the performance year 2010. Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mallikarjun Kharge, presented the awards in New Delhi on September 17.
The Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar Class-A awards. were given for developing bench-type fixture. It carried a cash prize of Rs 75,000 and certificates. The Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar Class-B awards were given for developing new fixture for hydro-testing of special valves in cranes. It carried a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and certificates.The Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar Class-C award with a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and certificates were given for developing of fixture for reducing the manufacturing cycle.
